This web page was produced as an assignment for Genetics 564 at UW-Madison Spring 2014
Hi! I'm Amanda (but some of my friends call me Andie). I am a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, majoring in genetics and getting a certificate in American Indian Studies. I made this website for a genetics class, Genomics and Proteomics, which is taught by Professor Ahna Skop. Over my time here at Madison, my career goals have evolved and I have recently decided to pursue a Masters in Social Work. I chose to study depression and PER2 because I want to take the mental health track in the social work program so I can become a licensed clinical social worker and counselor. I hope you found my site helpful! Through education, together we can help end the stigma against mental illness.
Special Thanks
Special thanks to Professor Ahna Skop for your invaluable mentorship throughout the semester. Without your guidance, this project would not have come to fruition. I would also like to thank my 564 classmates for friendship and snacks. I had a BLAST (hehe, get it?) and I will miss you guys and Ahna as we all move forward on our next great adventure!
